Call actions for inbound calls will depend on what device you're answering calls from.
Answering calls from a RingCentral desk phone, softphone, or mobile app
- Accept
- You will be immediately connected with the caller.
- Reject
- For calls to your own extension, reject will send the callers immediately to voicemail.
- Rejecting a queue call will send the caller to the next available team member in the call handling sequence.
- Ignore
- Silences the ringer for that incoming call. The call will route through the call handling accordingly. Voice messages will be through the RingCentral phone system.
- Missed Call
- The call will route through the call handling accordingly. Voice messages will be through the RingCentral phone system.
Answering calls on a non-RingCentral device (e.g. cell number, but not through the RingCentral mobile app)
- Accept
- You may need press 1 to accept the call first before being connected with the caller.
- Reject
- If you reject the call, the caller will be directed to your personal voicemail on your mobile device
- The caller will NOT be routed to your voicemail in the RingCentral phone system
- If there are other queue members in the call handling sequence, the call will NOT be routed to them.
- If you reject the call, the caller will be directed to your personal voicemail on your mobile device
- Ignore
- Ignore by silencing the ringer (volume down). The call will route through the call handling accordingly. Voice messages will be through the RingCentral phone system.
- Missed Call
- The call will route through the call handling accordingly. Voice messages will be through the RingCentral phone system.
