We strongly recommend that you perform all of the following steps in sequence for best results.
Review your Spam folder and mark legitimate emails as "Not Spam"
It is important to review your spam folder periodically and make sure to mark incorrectly flagged emails as “Not Spam” so that they will not be flagged next time. You will need to do this on a regular basis to ensure the automatic filter remains accurate.
Add known addresses to your Contact list
You can add a new contact by opening the email and clicking on the small arrow beside the names to open the email details. Hover over each name to bring up their contact cards and you can click on the + sign to add them to your contacts list.
Create a Gmail filter to "Never send to Spam" for a specific email address
- Open the email that is landing in spam and click on the 3 dots beside the reply button in the top right corner of the email.
- Select “Filter messages like this”
- This will open the search box with the address filled in. Select “Create Filter” in the bottom right of this pop-up.
- From here, select “Never send it to Spam” and then “Create filter” and you will now have a Gmail filter that will prevent mail coming from that sender from landing in spam.
